Statutory Requirements: |
There shall be a Professional Combat Sports Commission consisting of 8 members of whom (a) 7 members shall be appointed by the Minister as follows - 1) 1 a Chairperson, 2) 1 a police officer, 3) 1 a medical practitioner nominated by Australian Medical Association, 4) 1 a person who in the Minister's opinion has knowledge of the boxing industry, 5) 1 a person in Minister's opinion has knowledge of industry relating to combat sports other than boxing 6) 1 a person in Minister's opinion represents persons who are or have been registered as contestants in a class relevant to boxing 7) 1 a person in Minister's opinion represents persons who are or have been registered as contestants in a class other than a class relevant to boxing and 8) 1 person shall be CEO of the Department or nominated officer.

Requirements: |
A member other than a member referred to in subsection (2)(a)(ii) or (2)(b) shall be appointed for such term not exceeding 3 years as is specified in the instrument of his appointment. |
