Statutory Requirements: |
The Board will consist of 8 natural persons to be appointed by the Minister. The composition of the Board includes representation from each of the three areas of medical radiation technology and consumer and legal representation.
Subject to clause 4, a member of the Board holds office for such term, not exceeding 3 years, as is specified in the member’s instrument of appointment. (2) Subject to subclause (3), a member of the Board is not to hold office for more than 9 years, consecutively or otherwise.
(3) If in the opinion of the Minister there are special reasons for doing so, a person may be appointed so that he or she holds office for more than 9 years, consecutively or otherwise.

S.25 Interpretation Act 1984 (WA) allows the Board to start operating without the commencement of relevant sections of the Act. |
