Statutory Requirements: shall consist of 8 members appointed 3 by the Minister of whom: (a) one person shall be appointed to be chairman; (b) one person shall be the Under Treasurer of the State or an officer of the Treasury nominated in writing by the Under Treasurer; (c) one shall be the chief executive officer of the department referred to in section 228 of the School Education Act 1999 or a person employed in that department under section 235(1)(a), (b) or (c) of that Act, nominated in writing by the chief executive officer; (d) one person shall be the General Manager of The State Housing Commission continued under the Housing Act 1980 or an officer of The State Housing Commission nominated in writing by the General Manager; (e) one person shall be the Commissioner of Police appointed under the Police Act 1892 or an officer of the Police Department 4 nominated in writing by the Commissioner; (f) one person shall be the General Secretary of The State School Teachers' Union of W.A. (Incorporated) or a person nominated in writing by the General Secretary; (g) one person shall be the General Secretary of the Western Australian Police Union of Workers or a person nominated in writing by the General Secretary; and (h) one person shall be the General Secretary of the Civil Service Association of Western Australia (Inc.) or a person nominated in writing by the General Secretary. commencement of the Machinery of Government (Miscellaneous Amendments) Act - the Government Employees Housing Authority has been abolished, with its functions now carried out by the Department of Housing and Works.
