Statutory Requirements: |
The Committee shall consist of 15 persons as follows: (a) one person shall be the chief executive officer or an officer of the Public Service of the State nominated by the chief executive officer who shall be chairman of the Committee; and (b) 14 persons shall be appointed by the Minister as follows: (i) 2 persons shall be appointed on the written nomination of the body known as the W.A. Council of Retail Associations; (ia) one person shall be appointed on the nomination of the body known as the Retail Traders Association of W.A. (Inc.); (ii) one person shall be appointed on the written nomination of the body known as the W.A. Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Inc.); (iii) 4 persons shall be appointed on the written nomination of the body known as the Shop Distributive and Allied Employees Association of Western Australia; (iv) 5 persons shall be persons who in the opinion of the Minister are representative of consumers; (v) one shall be a person who in the opinion of the Minister represents the tourist industry. |
