Statutory Requirements: |
The Council is to consist of: (a) the chairperson of each commission; and (b) 3 persons appointed by the Minister. The Minister is to appoint a member of the Council to be the chairperson. Two of the persons appointed by the Minister under subsection (1)(b) are to have experience and expertise in local government and are to be selected from nominations provided by the Western Australian Local Government Association constituted under section 9.58 of the Local Government Act 1995.
