Statutory Requirements: |
The Board is to consist of: (a) 7 persons appointed by the Minister, of whom one is to be appointed by the Minister to be the chairperson; and (b) the persons appointed under subsection (2), if any. The members appointed under subsection (1)(a) may submit to the Minister a panel of names from which the Minister may appoint 2 other persons to be members of the Board. The members are to be appointed by the Minister for their experience and expertise in education and training, industry or community affairs and for their ability to contribute to the strategic direction of the State training system.
A member is to hold office: (a) in the case of the chairperson for such period not exceeding 5 years; and (b) in the case of any other member for such period not exceeding 3 years, as is specified in the instrument appointing that member, and a member is eligible for re-appointment
