Statutory Requirements: There are to be 6 members on the Board: (a) the judicial member appointed to the Parole Board under section 103(1)(a) of the Sentence Administration Act 2003; (b) the 3 persons appointed to the Parole Board under section 103(1)(b) of the Sentence Administration Act 2003; (c) a psychiatrist appointed by the Governor; and (d) a psychologist appointed by the Governor. The judicial member is the chairperson of the Board. Those members of the Review Board who are also members of the Parole Board are members of the Review Board only while they are members of the Parole Board. If a member of the Parole Board who is also a member of the Review Board has a deputy, the deputy may attend a meeting of the Review Board when the member is absent and may perform the member's functions. The Governor may appoint a psychiatrist to be the deputy of the psychiatrist appointed to the Board and a psychologist to be the deputy of the psychologist. Schedule 1 to the Sentence Administration Act 2003, other than clause 4, applies: (a) in respect of the psychiatrist and the psychologist appointed as members of the Review Board as if they were members of the Parole Board appointed by the Governor; (b) in respect of meetings of the Review Board as if it were the Parole Board
