Statutory Requirements: |
The Minister is to determine: (a) provisions for the membership, constitution, procedures and discharge of an advisory panel; and (b) in what circumstances and on what matters the panel is to advise. The members of an advisory panel are to be persons who have such experience, skills, attributes or qualifications as the Minister considers appropriate to enable them to effectively perform their advisory function.
In performing its functions in relation to a particular child or student, or class of children or students, an advisory panel may have regard to the social, cultural, lingual, economic or geographic factors, or learning difficulties, that might be relevant to the matter before the panel.
Panels to be established: Community Kindergarten Registration Advisory Panel; Disabilities Advisory Panel; Home Education Advisory Panel; School Attendance Panel; School Discipline Advisory Panel |
