Board and committee members are usually recommended for appointment by the responsible Minister. The Interested Persons Register (IPR) is a list of people willing to contribute to a board or committee. Its purpose is to ensure there is a pool of men and women, with appropriate skills and knowledge, from which Ministers may draw members.
The term of appointment varies from board to board, and is generally for a two or five year term. Some boards meet annually, some monthly and others on an as required basis.
To be included on the IPR please complete and submit the attached form, with a curriculum vitae of 4 pages maximum. It is not possible to register for a specific board or committee, but you may indicate areas of special interest.
There is no guarantee of appointment to a board or committee. The information is forwarded to ministerial offices for their consideration.
If you are appointed to a board, your family name, initial, designation (eg. Dr B. Smith, Deputy member) and term will be on this website.
You may update your IPR details on this website at any time. Membership of the IPR expires after five years.
Enquiries may be directed to the Cabinet Services Branch, Department of the Premier and Cabinet, phone (08) 9222 9333.
